Artist Information
Chris Scruggs and the Stone Fox Five have been performing traditional country music on Sunday nights in Nashville, Tennessee since 2012. Originally, their weekly shows were held at West Nashville’s legendary bygone venue The Stone Fox (hence their band’s name). They now hold their Country Sunday performances at Skinny Dennis Nashville and are regular guest stars of Honky Tonk Tuesday at Eastside Bowl in Madison, TN.
The group features Musician’s Hall of Fame inductees Chris Scruggs and Kenny Vaughan (who are also members of Marty Stuart’s famed Fabulous Superlatives) along with Billy Contreras, Caleb Boese, David Tanner, Jared Manzo and Grace van’t Hof.
You can hear them on Friday nights immediately following the Friday Night Opry on 650 WSM, where they host “Friends and Neighbors with Chris Scruggs,” a 15 minute throwback to the days of live radio where the band showcase their unique brand of mid-century styled Country and Western music.
