Popular TV host, NY Times Best Selling Author & singer-songwriter Robin Meade is the longtime host of HLN's "Morning Express with Robin Meade". The multi-platform personality also has 2 albums to her name.
Robin wakes at 3am to be in the anchor chair by 6am for 4 hours of live TV weekdays. Among her assignments: jumping out of a perfectly good plane with President George HW Bush (2009) & covering President Obama's inauguration (2013). Robin is the face of HLN's "Salute to Troops" and hosts "Accent Health" with Dr. Sanjay Gupta. At Oprah's request, Robin hosted "Ask Oprah's All Stars" on OWN (2011). Robin hosted the Daytime Emmy Awards (2013), & CMT's "Disaster Relief Telethon". Her quick wit lands her visits on "The Steve Harvey Show", "Wendy Williams", "Extra", & "Who Wants to be a Millionaire". Robin also does newscasts for "America's Morning Show" (Cumulus) in 20 cities including New York.
Robin wrote 7 songs on her album Count on Me (2014), a Target & iTunes exclusive. Collaborating with Lee Brice, Kenny Loggins & Keb' Mo', she reached #29 on Billboard's Heatseaker's chart. Her 2011 debut Brand New Day
Her New York Times Bestseller Morning Sunshine! How to Radiate Confidence and Feel It Too (2009) chronicled her rise over crippling panic attacks, and was reissued as a bestseller in paperback.
Robin has belted the anthem to millions of fans at Nascar's Sprint Cup races in Sonoma (2010), Daytona (2012), Talladega & Charlotte (2013) & prior to the NFL's Atlanta Falcons vs. the New England Patriots game in primetime (2013). She's performed with Darius Rucker, Kenny Chesney, Richard Marx, & David Foster and John Rich. She's had a standing ovation on the Grand Ole Opry, sold out acoustic shows at Atlanta's iconic "Eddie's Attic", and rocked audiences with the full band backing of "SixWire."
Before joining CNN Headline News (now HLN) Robin anchored at Chicago's WMAQ, Miami's WSVN & Columbus' WCMH. An Ohio native, During her first gig at Mansfield's WMFD she won Miss Ohio before leaping to Cleveland's WJW. Robin graduated from Ashland University with a degree in Radio/TV Production, Performance & Programming and minor in Political Science. She won the Young Alumnus Award (2005), was inducted into the Ohio Broadcasters Hall of Fame (2005) & bestowed the Gracie Award for Outstanding Anchor (2010).
