Riley Green was born in Jacksonville, Alabama. From a young age, he was surrounded by traditional Country, Bluegrass, and Southern Gospel music, which still inspires his music. He had an early start in songwriting and performing business through his grandfather, Bufford Green, who ran the Golden Saw Music Hall in Jacksonville. Playing with his grandfather and other men of his generation shaped the songs he would write later on. Riley Green was selected as a Country Music Television ‘Listen Up Artist,’ and MusicRow 2019 ‘Next Big Thing’ and was also recently named ‘New Male Artist Of The Year’ by ACM Awards. It was his performance at Grand Ole Opry that made his family consider him a success.
