John Morgan

Artist Information
GRAMMY-nominated, #1 hit chart-topper, John Morgan brings a blue-collar toughness to country music that’s pulled straight from the only life he knows. Hailing from Sylva, North Carolina, a tiny town deep in the Great Smoky Mountains, John grew up immersed in bluegrass tradition. Growing up, he toured the festival circuit in his family’s band each summer. Inspired by six-string legends from Tony Rice to John Mayer, he was always surrounded by music and began writing songs at a young age. Fast forward to now, he is “a Music City songwriting star” (Tennessean) and “in-demand songcrafter” (Billboard), who has written songs for Jon Pardi, Dustin Lynch, Thomas Rhett and an outstanding 16 for Jason Aldean, including the superstar’s #1 songs - “Trouble With A Heartbreak” and the GRAMMY® nominated, ACM Single of the Year “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood, along with Aldean’s 30th #1 “Whiskey Drink.” The sought-after, powerhouse artist has made his Grand Ole Opry debut and logged hours on the road opening for Aldean, ERNEST, Riley Green, Kane Brown, Nate Smith and more. As an artist, John claimed his first #1 at country radio with his breakout single “Friends Like That (feat. Jason Aldean),” and with that, earned his fourth #1 as a songwriter. Featured on his critically acclaimed debut album, Carolina Blue, out now, his reminiscent track "Kid Myself” is currently climbing the charts at country radio. In celebration of his #1 song “Friends Like That (feat. Jason Aldean),” catch him on his headlining 2025 “Friends Like That” Tour, kicking off this fall.
