James Johnston is one of Australia's leading country music exports, blending modern country production with authentic storytelling that has earned him more than 210 million global streams and a rapidly growing international audience.
A three-time Golden Guitar Award winner, two-time ARIA Award nominee, and recipient of the Jeff Walker Global Country Artist Award at the 2026 CMA International Awards, Johnston has become one of the defining voices of contemporary Australian country music. His history-making debut album RAISED LIKE THAT spent 35 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the ARIA Australian Country Albums Chart, while his sophomore album WHERE YOU'LL FIND ME further cemented his place as one of the genre's most exciting artists.
Known for fan favourites including RAISED LIKE THAT, BLAME, SMALL TOWN, COUNTRY IS FOR ME, SMOKE I'VE KNOWN featuring US country star Chase Matthew, and his latest single TAKES ME BACK, James has built a catalogue that connects with audiences well beyond Australia's borders. His songs celebrate home, family, friendship and the moments that shape who we become, stories that resonate wherever country music is played.
With sold-out headline shows across the United Kingdom, his first-ever Canadian headline show, performances throughout Australia, Sweden and South Africa, and continued expansion into North America and Europe, James Johnston is helping lead a new generation of Australian country music onto the world stage.
