For soulful singer-songwriter Emerson Day, storytelling comes naturally. She began writing songs at just eight years old, shaped by the raw edge of Southern rock guitar and the warmth of an old church piano. Raised on her family’s farm in Southern Maryland, Day spent countless hours outside, guitar in hand, singing into open fields—long before she fully understood the calling taking root in her heart.
Initially drawn to a very different path, Day pursued both athletics and academics with intensity, graduating from university as a decorated lacrosse player with a degree in Homeland Security. Her competitive drive led her toward a future in federal law enforcement—but when she felt God calling her to music, that same determination ignited a new pursuit.
In 2023, she signed her first record deal with Fair Trade Services, stepping fully into her calling as an artist. With a voice that blends grit and grace, Day brings her testimony to life through every raspy note and deeply personal lyrics. Day made her debut in the Christian music space in January 2024, alongside Micah Tyler on “People Like Us (feat. Emerson Day),” and followed it with her first solo release in March.
Emerson solidified her name in the Christian Music Industry with her breakout single, “Get Behind Me.” The single peaked at No. 3 on the CCM radio charts, inspired a high-profile feature with Zach Williams, and earned multiple nominations at the 2025 GMA Dove Awards. The song’s rapid growth across streaming platforms and social media fueled a surge in fan engagement, ultimately leading to Emerson's inclusion in the Winter Jam 2025 lineup alongside many of the genre’s most notable artists.
She recently released her current primary single, “No Smoke,” and is working toward a debut project in 2027!
