Drew Green

Artist Information
With his genre-bending country, pop, and R&B style, RECORDS Nashville signee Drew Green first garnered attention as a songwriter, landing a cut with 5x Billboard Music Award-winning duo, Florida Georgia Line. “I’d given myself a deadline - five years in Nashville to get my first cut. Florida Georgia Line cut ‘Colorado’ four years and 11 months in…” Green next tackled the artist sphere, proving to be a talented recording artist when his 2020 breakout tracks, “Little More Be Alright” and “Right Where I Be” garnered over 6 and 2 million streams respectively on Spotify alone.
Born in McMinnville, Tennessee, Green grew up on a tree farm where his family introduced him to country greats like Sammy Kershaw and Alan Jackson at a young age. During his teen years, he began expanding his listening repertoire, as friends exposed him to a mix of hip-hop, pop, and R&B performers, including hit-makers Usher, Craig David, Matchbox Twenty, and Dr. Dre. He organized and played in a few bands in high school, and continued honing his songwriting skills throughout college. Following graduation, Green made the move 90 minutes west to Nashville, singing in the house band at the famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge and working a day job at a bank - all the while pursuing a career in songwriting.
His turn came when, in 2018, he signed a publishing deal with Brett James’ Cornman Music and, in 2019, Florida Georgia Line included his co-penned (HARDY, Hunter Phelps) “Colorado” as a featured track on their #1 Billboard Top Country Album, Can’t Say I Ain’t Country. A record deal quickly followed with Ville 40/Sony Music Nashville, and his debut tune with the label, “Little More Be Alright,” officially put him on the map as a reputable artist, amassing over 6 million streams on Spotify alone.
Green’s debut EP, Dirt Boy Vol. 1, released in 2020 and included both “Little More Be Alright” and second single, “Right Where I Be” - as well as additional streaming standout, “She Got That,” which has over 26 million streams. He followed his early success with the 2021 release of sophomore EP Dirt Boy Vol. 2, yielding twangy tune “Hooch” and, in 2022, Green released soulful standalone single "Good Ol' Man,” which has over 28 million streams to-date and was recently certified RIAA Gold.
After over 2 million views on TikTok, he released viral hit “Lotta Bit Of You.” The virality translated to over 22 million streams and a successful nationwide tour and, in 2024, Green signed with RECORDS Nashville. He kicked off the deal with the release of his debut EP, Whiskey On Whiskey, which included “Lotta Bit Of You,” as well as a reimagined version of “Colorado,” featuring the song’s co-writer and fellow artist, HARDY. On September 19, Green will release his debut, 18-song album, What You’re Looking For - which will include previously released tunes, as well as several new songs, further cementing his spot as a pop country trailblazer.
