The trust fund provides assistance to country music professionals in need, and you can help too.

The Grand Ole Opry provides a platform for musicians and entertainers from the biggest stars to the newest artists to share music, stories and moments backstage at a place we like to call home. And at home, we take care of our family. From its inception in 1925 as a live radio broadcast to Ryman Auditorium and now the Opry House, one thing that hasn’t changed is the Opry’s dedication to country music and its artists.

“It’s one of the best things that has been organized for our industry. It has helped so many people." – Jeannie Seely

In 1965, the Opry Trust Fund was born with a mission to help those in the country music industry when they need it the most —  in times of extraordinary circumstances, catastrophes and emergencies. The trust fund offers financial assistance to those employed full-time in the industry with medical bills, living expenses, rent or mortgage, utilities, and more based on individual needs.

Since its beginning, the Opry Trust Fund has distributed nearly $4 million to help artists and country music professionals. Today, the fund actively works with individuals and organizations, such as Music Health Alliance, MusiCares and ACM Lifting Lives®, to gather referrals, donations and communicate opportunities to the community.

“It’s one of the best things that has been organized for our industry. It has helped so many people,” said country music icon and Opry member Jeannie Seely. “I encourage people to donate there instead of sending flowers or to honor someone. That way it continues the blessing and the respect.”

And the blessings and support are impactful. Frequently, when a benefactor recovers and gets back on their feet with the support of the fund, they pay it forward many times, and in large part to the Opry Trust Fund. More recently, notable events such as the 2010 flood in Nashville, Tenn., the 2020 Nashville tornado and the current COVID-19 pandemic have called for a large response for relief and assistance. You can help too.

100% of proceeds for the Saturday Night Grand Ole Opry collector poster series goes to the Opry Trust Fund.

It’s an extraordinary time across the globe, in our neighborhoods and within our country music community. While we’re being extra cautious and working with our local government, we’ve been able to bring you our live Saturday Night Grand Ole Opry without a live audience and keep the music playing. Millions of people have tuned in since our first stream three weeks ago, and we want to keep the Opry tradition alive.

A mainstay of our shows is our custom lineup Opry posters. We’ve crafted a special collector’s series of prints for these extraordinary performances to commemorate the power and strength of music and help those in need to keep the circle unbroken.

“Millions have tuned in from over 66 countries around the world with a shared passion for country music and an entertaining distraction from COVID-19,” said Scott Bailey, Opry Entertainment Group president. “The prints have always been a keepsake that fans purchase to remember their bucket list experience at the Opry. We felt that producing one for each show would keep the spirit of the tradition alive while we all watch from home and at the same time support those that need the help most right now.”

When you purchase one or all of the series, the Opry will donate 100% of the profits to the Opry Trust Fund to help alleviate the financial burden and uncertainties COVID-19 has caused for so many country music professionals.
