The unbreakable bond he shared with his father is documented among intimate anecdotes and private collection of artifacts in House of Cash: The Legacies of My Father, Johnny Cash. The bond between his parents and his own children inspired him to write three children’s books and the tribute to his mother, Anchored in Love: An Intimate Portrait of June Carter Cash. He was also the Executive Producer for the Oscar winning film Walk the Line, which chronicles his parent’s lives and love.
John Carter helped produce several of Johnny and June’s later recordings and produced Grammy winning records including, Unbroken Circle: The Musical Heritage of the Carter Family. As the caretaker of Cash Cabin Studios near Nashville, Tenn., John Carter has also produced recordings for artists as diverse as Loretta Lynn, Elvis Costello, and Merle Haggard.
