Mike Rogers
Artist Information
Mike Rogers is a seasoned musician, singer, and songwriter whose career spans more than two decades in Nashville’s country and bluegrass scene. Raised in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Rogers developed a passion for music at an early age, playing alongside his father before joining local bands as a teenager. After graduating from Socastee High School, he began performing professionally, eventually earning a position at The Carolina Opry, where he refined his skills as a performer.
In 2002, Rogers made the move to Nashville, quickly establishing himself as a sought-after drummer and musician. He has performed with artists including Kevin Denney, Craig Morgan—where he served as bandleader—and Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, where he stepped into the spotlight as a tenor vocalist and guitarist. His time with Lawson resulted in multiple recordings and industry recognition, further solidifying his place in the bluegrass world.
As a songwriter, Rogers has made a significant impact, co-writing Craig Morgan’s Top 10 hit “Bonfire,” one of the most played songs of 2009. Over the years, his songs have been recorded by a wide range of artists, and his career has included performing across all 50 states, appearing hundreds of times on the Grand Ole Opry, and contributing to multiple Grammy-nominated projects.
Currently, Rogers performs full-time with Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder while also being a member of the group Brothers of the Heart alongside Jimmy Fortune, Ben Isaacs, and Bradley Walker. With a debut solo album set for release on May 29, 2026, Rogers is stepping into a new chapter, bringing his years of experience and artistry to the forefront as a solo artist.
