Grand Ole Opry members Blake Shelton, Charley Pride, Josh Turner and Oak Ridge Boys performed on two Grand Ole Opry shows last night along with Luke Combs, Sara Evans, and Maggie Rose as Thursday shows were added to Opry CMA Music Festival week schedule for a second consecutive year. A portion of the first show was streamed live to Ole Red, the new downtown Nashville venue inspired by Shelton’s early career hit and celebrating its grand opening this week.

Additional Opry performances are set this week for Fri., June 8 and Sat., June 9 as well as a Saturday matinee performance of Opry Country Classics featuring Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers, Pride, and more at the Ryman Auditorium.

On Sun., June 10 the Opry will stage its first-ever show from the famed Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN featuring Opry members Old Crow Medicine Show, Bobby Bare, Del McCoury Band, and Riders In The Sky as well as Joshua Hedley, LANCO, Nikki Lane, and Maggie Rose. The Nashville-based Opry has rarely in its 92-year history taken its iconic show outside Music City, on those occasions visiting prestigious venues such as New York City’s Carnegie Hall and Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center.
