• There’s nothing like a backstage tour of the Grand Ole Opry House; it’s a must-see for everyone in Music City! Walk in the footsteps of country music’s superstars and get an exclusive look at what happens behind the scenes of the show that made country music famous!

  • About Daytime Tours

  • Your knowledgeable guide will share stories about the Opry and country music greats, past and present — from Minnie Pearl to Carrie Underwood, you might say — show you photos from the Opry’s biggest moments in history, and take you to the artist entrance where legends, new artists, and superstars alike walk into the Opry House on the night of an Opry show.

You may even have the chance to step on stage and into the famed wooden circle as generations of artists have done. Tours may also make a stop in Studio A, a live television studio and former home of Hee Haw.

  • Video Tour Guide: Blake Shelton

  •

  • Opry member Blake Shelton shows us a sneak peek backstage.

  • Your video guide is someone who has not only been there himself, but became an official member of the Opry family in 2010. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look from your tour guide, but also from Blake Shelton, who is a CMA Male Vocalist of the Year, star of NBC’s hit show The Voice, and No. 1 hit-maker, via video throughout your tour.

You won’t want to miss seeing a sampling of the 18 artist dressing rooms, newly refurbished following the Nashville flood of 2010. Each dressing room is decorated around a unique theme. The “Cousin Minnie,” “Wagonmaster,” “Little Jimmy,” and “Mr. Roy” dressing rooms honor greats Minnie Pearl, Porter Wagoner, Jimmy Dickens, and Roy Acuff, respectively. It’s definitely a tour highlight!

  • Take the Backstage Back Home

  • When taking your Opry House Backstage Tour, be sure to pick up the hardcover companion piece to the tour, Backstage at the Grand Ole Opry. The book features more than 250 exclusive photos from the Opry archives, including several of those you’ll see during your visit. It also contains photos of all the spots highlighted on tours — the Opry Member Gallery, 18 themed dressing rooms, and more — plus stories from backstage as told by Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, Carrie Underwood, and others.

    BUY THIS BOOK

  • *Tours are most often available seven days a week, though schedules can vary depending upon other Opry House commitments. On evenings in which there is only one Opry performance, tours are also available immediately after the show when the Opry is presented at the Grand Ole Opry House. Daytime Tours can be booked up to two weeks in advance online or by calling 1-800-SEE-OPRY. Post-Show and VIP  Tours may be booked further in advance. Tours tend to sell out quickly once available, so booking before you arrive is best. Tickets for tours are also available at the Opry Box Office.
