Grand Ole Opry Tapes GAC Special "How Great Thou Art: Gospel Favorites Live From The Grand Ole Opry"

Tickets for the January 20 taping of the upcoming GAC special How Great Thou Art: Gospel Favorites Live From The Grand Ole Opry will go on sale Saturday, January 5. Artists scheduled to participate in the live taping at the Grand Ole Opry House include Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels Band, Vince Gill, Sara Evans, Loretta Lynn, Ronnie Milsap, and Carrie Underwood.

Tickets are $15 each, and proceeds will benefit the Opry Trust Fund, which assists members of the country music community in need. Fans who purchase tickets for Opry shows in January or February can purchase tickets to the taping for $5. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Opry ticket office at 615-871-OPRY or 1-800-SEE-OPRY or online.

The 90-minute special, How Great Thou Art: Gospel Favorites Live From The Grand Ole Opry, will air February 9 on Great American Country (GAC) 8:00 – 9:30 pm EASTERN. Brad Paisley, Ricky Skaggs and The Whites will also be a part of the television special with performances pre-recorded at the Ryman Auditorium.

The recording How Great Thou Art: Gospel Favorites Live From The Grand Ole Opry will be released on February 5, 2008 on RCA Records. This unique collection features twelve gospel songs recorded live at the Grand Ole Opry by artists including Adkins, Bentley, Charlie Daniels Band with Mac Powell, Evans, Gill, Alan Jackson, Patty Loveless, Lynn, Milsap, Paisley, Skaggs and The Whites, and Underwood.
