Grand Ole Opry Returns to Opry House
Nashville, TN — February 28, 2007
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - (Feb. 26, 2007) - The Grand Ole Opry® presented by Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® will return to the Grand Ole Opry House after a four-month run at the historic Ryman Auditorium this Fri., March 2. Among those scheduled to appear during the Opry’s first weekend back at the Opry House are
Carrie Underwood, Alison Krauss, John Waite, Craig Morgan, Ricky Skaggs, Marty Stuart, Danielle Peck, Porter Wagoner, and more.
The popular Tuesday Night Opry will return on March 6 with
Diamond Rio, Restless Heart, Del McCoury Band, and
Jimmy Dickens among those scheduled to perform.
Other performers scheduled for the month of March include
Alan Jackson, Loretta Lynn, Martina McBride, Gretchen Wilson, Terri Clark, Little Big Town, Bucky Covington, Ralph Stanley, Mel Tillis, Pam Tillis, Tracy Lawrence, and more.
On March 17 Lynn will be presented an Honorary Doctorate of Music from Boston’s Berklee College of Music. Berklee President Roger H. Brown will make the presentation which will air on
Grand Ole Opry Live on
Great American Country (GAC) at 7 p.m. Central.
