Grand Ole Opry to Kick Off 2006 Opry Plaza Parties This Weekend

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - (June 5, 2006) - One of Nashville’s favorite summertime activities, Opry Plaza Parties, are set to launch during CMA Music Festival weekend, Sat., June 10 with Arista Nashville recording artist Keith Anderson, currently enjoying Top 10 success with his single “Every Time I Hear Your Name.” Parties are free and open to the public and will run every Saturday night through August 12 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Plaza concert stage is located in the area in front of the Opry House, the Acuff Theatre, and the Opry Museum.


The wide range of alt-country, bluegrass, and current Top 40 country artists scheduled to perform throughout the summer includes Dale Watson, John Cowan, Darrell Scott, Rockie Lynne, Chuck Mead, Eric Church, Ray Scott, The Derailers, Billy Joe Shaver, and more. Plaza Party headliner Keith Anderson is among the artists appearing on Opry shows during CMA Music Fest Week.
