Tim McGraw loves his doctor sooooooooo much that….
Hard to believe, but Tim McGraw spent his Saturday night (Aug. 24) singing on a Tennessee hilltop in front of his full band — for about 350 fans. Why? Doctor’s orders.
Tim, ya see, really likes his Nashville doctor, orthopedic surgeon Paul Thomas. And one day, Tim asked Dr. Thomas, what can I do for you, doc? And the good doctor told Tim, I don’t need anything, I have everything I want. And Tim said, no really doc, what can I do. And the doctor said, well, there is this favorite charity of mine…. So Tim played for 350 generous supporters of the Show Hope adoption assistance agency, which helps couples pay those huge adoption fees that especially come with adopting children from overseas.
Among those generous supporters: Tennessee’s governor, Bill Haslam, who at one point might’ve had to worry about Tim trying to get his job. But Tim has said recently he no longer wants to be governor — at least not until his kids are grown. So Gov. Haslam was just able to sit back and enjoy the show.
Look out for Justin Moore callin’ them Hogs in Arkansas
Yes, indeed, if you’ve ever been to a University of Arkansas Razorbacks game, you may have heard of the callin’ of the hogs. And Justin Moore, a Razorbacks fan for years, gets to do that himself Sept. 13 when he puts on a free concert at the university.
It’s part of Justin’s efforts to whip up excitement for the new album, Off the Beaten Path, that comes out the Tuesday after his free concert.
It’s also part of Justin’s efforts to get free tix to the Sept. 14 Arkansas-Southern Mississippi game.
“Can’t wait to call the Hogs!” Justin said in a press release.
See? I told ya.
