Carrie does duet with Make-A-Wish girl in concert
Carrie Underwood had her dreams come true when she won American Idol, and now Carrie’s paying it forward.
A Make-A-Wish girl named Kaitlyn – in cowgirl hat and denim vest – nearly stole the show Friday night (Aug. 16) at a country music festival in Brownsville, Oregon. But Carrie said beforehand she knew that might happen.
“She’s totally gonna upstage me, she’s totally gonna make me look bad, but hey,” Carrie told the crowd when Kaitlyn came out. “Let’s give her some love right now.” Kaitlyn sang right along with Carrie and Kaitlyn even sang quite a bit by herself. At song’s end, the crowd went wild.
“So awesome!” Carrie said. “That was professional right there. If I was her and I was walking out here at her age in front of this crowd, woah, I probably would’ve just stood there. That was very impressive.”
Afterward, Carrie tweeted:
Fun times in Oregon! Thanks to all who came out to have fun tonight! And a special thanks to my duet partner, Kaitlyn! #AllAmericanGirl

Tim heads back to the bright lights of Hollywood, but….
You loved him in The Blind Side, you felt conflicted about him in Friday Night Lights. Now, Tim McGraw’s gonna give you another chance to see him on the big screen. He’s making a movie, but he ain’t sayin’ much about it.
“There’s something really cool going on,” Tim tells ABC News Radio. “So, I can’t really say much about it, but it’s gonna be a lot of fun.”
What kind of role? “I don’t know if it’s a surprising role, but it’s gonna be a great film.” And that’s all he has to say about that.
Keith says his wife, Nicole Kidman, makes fearless, inspiring career choices
Keith Urban always says amazing things about his Oscar winner wife, Nicole Kidman, and the latest is about her career choices.
“She’s really inspiring as an artist, because she’s pretty fearless with her choices,” Keith tells ABC News Radio. “I’m very inspired by that fearlessness to try something. Her attitude is like, ‘If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. You go on to the next thing.’ She only tries things that she’s interested in and a lot of the times she gravitates towards things that she’s terrified of, characters that she just does not want to play, people that she wants to explore but doesn’t want to ’cause it’s a little uncomfortable,” he said.
“She’ll go there simply because of that, to break through that. I really find that very inspiring.”
