Keith Urban jams with Gregg Allman
Looks like Keith Urban is becoming the go-to guy to be the surprise guests for veteran rockers.
You remember that he jammed with the Rolling Stones recently. And on Friday night (June 28), Keith popped up at a Gregg Allman concert at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
Keith eased on stage in the middle of the show, but fans recognized him pretty quickly and they cheered and went wild.
He played with Gregg’s band on two songs during the concert then came back during the encore and got in a little guitar battle with the guys on “One Way Out,” CountryWeekly.com reports.
Florida Georgia Line hit “Cruise” is hottest country song in 50 years
Don’t believe me? Well, can ya think of one hotter? OK, that’s not exactly scientific.
But what I can tell you is that the Florida Georgia Line song “Cruise” now has 17 straight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
And the last time a song was No. 1 on that chart longer was 1962 – a little ditty from Leroy Van Dyke called “Walk on By.”
That’s more than 50 years! Why, in 1962, Kenny Chesney was minus-6-years-old!
Now this is kind of fun – if “Cruise” holds that top spot for five more weeks, it’ll be the longest running No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart ever.
Let’s see if the duo can cruise into history. (C’mon, I couldn’t resist….)
Brad Paisley and his fans collected 900 pounds of food for veterans
Seems kind of sad that there’s even a need for this charity, but there’s an amazing one called Feed our Vets.
The group estimates that more than three million military veterans and their families don’t have enough food each month, and more than 100,000 are homeless.
Brad Paisley asked fans at his June 2 show in Saratoga Springs, NY, to bring food for the organization, and they chipped in, big time.
The fans donated more than 900 pounds of food – and more than $400 cash on top of that – to Feed Our Vets.
It’s the second year in a row that Brad had Feed Our Vets come out to his Saratoga Springs show.
