King George thought his current hit might be too risqué
So George Strait is chugging toward his 60th No. 1 hit with “Give It All We Got Tonight” – and he almost didn’t cut it.
The song is, well, I’ll let King George explain.
“It’s kinda about parking,” he tells United Stations, laughing, “which I’ve done a few times back in the early days.”
“The first time I heard it, I thought, ‘Hmm, that’s a great song. It’s a little different for me, you know, a little risqué, kinda.’ I’m thinkin, ‘I don’t know if I can pull this off or not.’”
George’s record label did.
“So we did, and I just love it,” the star said.
And I’m sure his label does, too.
Trace Adkins hits the final four on all-star “Celebrity Apprentice”
Looks like Trace Adkins might be on the finals again in Donald Trump’s TV contest Celebrity Apprentice.
Trace did make it into the final four on Sunday’s (March 5) episode, but not without some bumps and bruises.
Trace himself has admitted that he hasn’t been giving his all, in part because he wasn’t excited about the ideas that had been generated lately.
So it was no surprise when losing project manager Marilu Henner targeted Trace in the boardroom.
“He dropped out three tasks ago,” Marilu told Trump.
Trump agreed that Trace hasn’t been giving his all, but The Donald fired Marilu instead, saying she had far more to do with the team loss than Trace did.
Will Trace catch fire? Will the cowboy make it to the final two again? If so, will Trace win this time?
Stay tuned, on NBC Sunday nights, same Trump time, same Trump channel….
If you could pick one word to describe Blake Shelton
What would that word be?
Sheryl Crow, you’ve been working as a mentor for Blake Shelton on NBC’s The Voice, which heads into the live playoffs this week (May 6).
What word have you chosen to describe Blake?
