Is Taylor’s love life taking one direction toward a boy band?

The answer is, well, maybe.

Taylor Swift was spotted with 18-year-old pop star Harry Styles, from British boy band One Direction (“What Makes You Beautiful”) over the weekend.

And they weren’t at some off-the-beaten-path cozy restaurant.

Taylor and Harry were at the Central Park Zoo in New York, a.k.a. the largest city park in the largest city in the world.

So start spreadin’ the news….

You might recall that Taylor and Harry also were spotted flirting around last month backstage at TV’s “The X-Factor.”

No comment from either camp on the possible budding romance.

A 47-year-old woman hits the stage in skintight outfits….

…And the crowds go crazy!

Shania Twain’s gone and done it, staged a huge comeback in Las Vegas after nearly a decade off the stage.

Shania opened a 60-show run at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace Saturday night (Dec. 1).

And what a triumph: The crowd really did go crazy, causing Shania to wipe away tears a few times.

And the critic from the Las Vegas Review-Journal gave the show a B+.

“’Still the One’ is otherwise just about everything it can and should be for Shania Twain as a comeback vehicle,” the reviewer said. “It’s big, fun and full of surprises, the kind of show Ann-Margret wishes she could have done in the ‘70s.”

The hills are alive with the sound of Carrie!

Isn’t it every little girl’s dream to play Maria von Trapp in The Sound of Music? If so, scratch one off Carrie Underwood’s bucket list.

Carrie has landed the role in a live broadcast of The Sound of Music that’s being tackled next year by NBC.

“[H]aving Carrie Underwood as the star brings it to a new generation who will fall in love with it for the first time as many millions of people already have,” the producers said in a statement.

No exact date has been set, but it likely will be in about a year in the 2013 holiday season.

Hmmmm…. Will Brad Paisley be cast as Captain von Trapp?
