Taylor Swift to MTV awards crowd in Franfurt – “Danke schoen!”

That Taylor Swift is a hit on any continent, I tell ya.

And she further endears herself to international crowds by trying out the local language.

Take the MTV European Awards in Frankfurt, Germany, on Sunday night (Nov. 11). Taylor won three (or “drei” in German) trophies – one for best look, one for best female and one for best live act.

They have some funny categories in Europe, don’t they? “Best look”? Of course, these folks dip their french fries in mayonnaise, so who knows what to expect from foreigners. But I digress.

After getting her third trophy, Taylor told the crowd: “Drei? Drei? Danke schoen!”

As many of Taylor’s older fans know from Wayne Newton, “danke schoen” means thank you very much.

Taylor tied Justin Bieber Sunday night for most trophies – but Justin didn’t show.

Oh, and Taylor sang “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” for the German crowd – in English.

Carrie rocks the Jersey shore, then gives profits to storm victims

Here’s yet another reason to love Opry member Carrie Underwood, who performed in Atlantic City, N.J., within weeks of Superstorm Sandy hitting the Garden State.

Carrie gave a great show, then told the crowd that she’s giving her profits to storm victims, the Press of Atlantic City reported.

“I wouldn’t feel right making any money off of tonight’s show,” she said. “So anything I make is going right back into the community here.”

As if that’s not enough, Carrie also stopped singing once to point out a marriage proposal that was happening right below her.

“Everyone look right there right now!”

The crowd went wild as Carrie urged the woman, “Say yes! Say yes!”

Carrie actually wiped away a tear and said, “Congratulations! How do I top that?”

You might wanna watch what you say to Miranda

How awesome that Miranda Lambert will sometimes go with Blake when he does his coach thing on NBC’s The Voice.

And we hope Blake still thinks it’s awesome after Thursday night (Nov. 8).

“Some gal backstage just said ‘congrats on song of the year, that’s so cute,’” Miranda tweeted. “What? How about bad ass. amazing. I got something ‘cute’4 u.:)”

And that’s not all Miranda wrote.

“Cute is a word 4 kids & puppies! Amazing & thankful are a few words I would use to describe a moment like winning for ‘Over You.’”

So there.
