Brad Paisley surprises Carrie during her Nashville show
OK, this looked so real that it probably was.
Carrie Underwood played a show Sunday night in her new hometown of Nashville, and she started singing her No. 1 duet “Remind Me,” and guess who surprised her on stage!
That’s right, Little Jimmy Dickens!!
OK, that’s not true, but it was one of Little Jimmy’s very best friends, Brad Paisley.
Brad and Carrie are not only duet partners, but the two have hosted the CMA awards show together for years.
Carrie got real tears in her eyes when Brad popped up on stage, and even her publicist conceded that Carrie was speechless for a second before she joined Brad in the song.
Awwwwww.
No surprises when this performance happened, but watch the two Opry members perform the duet on the Opry stage below.
Country’s hot new couple: Brantley Gilbert and Jana Kramer
Watch out, Tim and Faith. Move over, Blake and Miranda.
There’s a new country music power couple forming. Brantley Gilbert, the one who insists that country must be country wide, confessed to an Atlanta radio station that he’s dating newcomer Jana Kramer (“Why You Wanna”).
Turns out that one of the guys on the morning team at Kicks 101.5 went on Jana’s tour bus and saw a picture of Brantley above her bunk.
“To answer your question, yes. And I’m a very, very happy man. Yes, I am with Jana Kramer,” Brantley said.
Brantley and Jana met at the CMT awards this summer, and they will make their first public appearance together this fall at the CMA awards, he says.
Season-ending hockey dispute makes Carrie “a little happy”
Yes, there are millions and millions of hockey fans in the U.S. and Canada who are super sad that this season probably won’t happen.
But there’s one who’s not exactly grabbing for the tissues.
“Is it wrong for me to be a little happy?” Carrie asks The Tennessean newspaper. “I mean, I’m sorry for you, but it’s great for me.”
What the. . . ? Oh, that’s right, Carrie is married to a hockey player, Mike Fisher, from the Nashville Predators!
Right now, NHL owners have locked out the players because of contract disputes.
But Carrie says, realistically, she probably won’t see that much more of her hubby.
“He’s such a disciplined guy that he has to train and make sure he’s ready regardless of what’s going on,” Carrie says.
