Here’s a taste of what you’ll hear on the albums:
The Farm
It’s been a year since this trio first burst onto the music scene and now The Farm is giving fans the new music they’ve been begging for. The 11-track debut album titled The FARM hit stores this week.
Damien Horne, Krista Marie, and Nick Hoffman were musicians pursuing their own careers when a chance writing session revealed songwriting chemistry between the three. As more and more songs came together, the three decided to put behind their solo interests and create The Farm. This new album will give the country music community a chance to familiarize themselves with their unique sound.
“You take Nick, Damien and I, and we’re not just very different personally, we’re very different musically,” Krista says. “Nick is bone-dry country. Damien is our soul man. He’s the king of melodies, and sings like a bird. I grew up with jazz and classical and standards. That’s the fusion of The Farm. Our core is country, but we draw on all our backgrounds very heavily, and that’s where you get that unique sound.”
From the harmonies to the melodies to the lyrics, everything about this album is a bit organic. The Farm only recorded songs that all three members connected with and with three people who come from as different backgrounds as this trio, you can ensure there’s a sense of honesty behind each track on The Farm.
“Someone said once if you catch lightning in a bottle, you should probably bottle it up and run with it,” Nick said in a Taste of Country interview. “Hopefully other people can pick up on how real and how organic this thing really is. It’s just three completely different people bringing their individual personalities forward, and that’s what’s cool about this thing.”
