Zac Brown surprises hometown Atlanta crowd at Kenny/Tim concert
Like a Kenny Chesney/Tim McGraw crowd won’t be ear-splittingly loud anyway.
Zac Brown helped pump up the volume even more Sunday night (June 3) in Atlanta, only the second stop this summer on the new Brothers of the Sun mega-tour.
Zac, from Georgia, hit the stage at the Georgia Dome to do two songs with Kenny, “Knee Deep” and a cover of Alabama’s “Dixieland Delight.” The crowd was delighted, to say the least.
And it looks like Kenny will be breaking out the sports stars on this tour.
At the tour opener in Tampa, Fla., Saturday night (June 2), Kenny brought up new Bucs tight end Dallas Clark for “Boys of Fall.” And in Atlanta, Falcons Coach Mike Smith ended up on stage.
Reviewers in both cities gave Kenny and Tim high marks. And in both towns, the two superstars – after doing about two hours each solo — hit the stage together for another 30 minutes, turning each other’s hits into duets and covering another one or two country hits besides.
Yee-haw!
Will Carrie Underwood be on the next Aerosmith album?
That, my Southern-fried friends, is the question of the day.
You know that Carrie and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler have a musical thing going on. After all, the two performed together at last year’s ACM awards and on an episode of CMT Crossroads.
But the new rumor is that Carrie and Steven cut a country song for the upcoming Aerosmith album.
A mega-Aerosmith fan posted details on the band’s Facebook page, but drummer Joey Kramer took down the post. Then the drummer tweeted: “Stealing @Aerosmith thunder look up the word PROSECUTION!”
Oooooooooooo. Look up the words “juicy scandal”!
No word yet from Carrie’s publicist on any of this.
It’s Lady Paisley – or is that Brad Gaga?
OK, seriously? Probably not.
But Brad Paisley had some fun Friday (June 1) on ABC’s Good Morning America when correspondent Lara Spencer asked who Brad wants for his next duet partner.
After a few seconds, Brad said simply: “Lady Gaga.”
“Nice!” GMA meteorologist Sam Champion practically shouted.
Oh, Brad, always sweetly sarcastic, ain’t he?
Baby, he was born this way.
