Sorry, ladies, Jake Owen is officially off the market
Go big or go home: Jake Owen proposed Saturday night (April 7) to his longtime model girlfriend Lacey Buchanan – in front of thousands of people at a hometown show, in Vero Beach, Fla.
It came in the middle of Jake’s hit “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You.” Jake called Lacey on stage to sing to her, and then he dropped down on a knee.
“It’s my hometown. These are all my friends and family. Will you marry me, Lacey?” Jake said on the mic.
Lacey nodded and gave Jake a huge smooch.
“You’re probably wondering where your ring is right? Like I said [in the song lyrics], I can’t buy you a big diamond ring or a big ol ‘ house on the hill. I promise, I’ll love you forever and ever and ever and ever,” Jake says.
Awwwww.
The next day (April 8), Jake tweets:
Scotty McCreery won’t be studying music at college
Scotty McCreery is touring with Brad Paisley, doing radio tours, recording songs – it’s like the 18-year-old is getting a hands-on music education of a lifetime.
“I’m learning about music every day and I’m in music class all the time as an 18 year old,” Scotty tells TheCountryVibe.com.
See? Told ya.
So Scotty says he won’t be studying music when he goes to college this fall at his daddy’s alma mater, North Carolina State University.
It’ll be marketing or communications instead, and that, he says, will surely help him out as an artist.
Well, that, and if Scotty ever decides he wants to come off the road, the communications degree might help him be a blogger for Opry.com! “Scotty Hits the Fans. . . .”? Maybe we can work on the title.
Tim McGraw tries to scare the DeGeneres out of Ellen
OK, so if you watch Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, you know she likes to try to scare her celebrity friends. Yes, Ellen actually crouched in Julia Roberts’ bathroom one day to leap out at the Oscar winner
So Tim McGraw decided he was going to turn the tables.
During a recent visit to her show, Tim hid in a room along a hallway and waited for Ellen to saunter by.
She did, and Tim sprung! And he shouted! And, and. . . well, nothing, really. Ellen barely reacted, on the outside, anyway.
“Damn!” Tim said, hugging Ellen, “she knew it was coming!”
Actually, though, Ellen said: “I have to tell you, that actually really did scare me.”
Yesssssssssss!

And remember when Ellen scared Taylor Swift? Watch it again here:
