Kellie Pickler Shares Her Favorite Thing About The Opry, Rodney Atkins Likes To Pull At Heart Strings, And More!

This week on America’s Opry Weekend, Kellie Pickler shares with us one of her favorite things about performing on the Opry stage. “You never know who is standing on the side of the stage. I’ve been up there before and looked over and seen artists that were not even playing that night. They were just here, to watch the show,” says Kellie. “It’s just so wild to be in that kind of company. I mean, it’s not every day you get to share the stage with Vince Gill, you know.”
Here she is on the Opry during a recent visit with “Stop Cheatin’ On Me” from her new album, 100 Proof.

Also, this week Rodney Atkins tells us that he likes to keep his music videos simple, but wants them to tug at people’s heart strings a little. He thinks that his video for his latest single “He’s Mine” will do just that. “When you’re a kid, when you’re a little boy and you have a little bit of an edge about you and you’re kind of fearless at times, those are the kids that I met when I was in Afghanistan,” says Rodney. “That’s what they turn into. They’re the firefighters, they’re the policemen, they’re the heroes out there.”
Be sure to listen for his new single, catch his new video, and get tickets here to see him on the Opry May 1.
Tune in to hear more from Easton Corbin, Vince Gill, Hunter Hayes (on the Opry April 13 & 14), and more!
