There Are Some People Crazier Than Eddie Montgomery, Josh Turner Is Making Birthday Wishes Come True, And More!

This week on America’s Opry Weekend, Montgomery Gentry admits that they have had some wild and crazy times, but there are some even crazier. “You know, we’ve had some wild times and crazy times on our buses and stuff – we ain’t lyin’ . . . but, I’m tellin’ you what, there ain’t nobody no crazier than them bull riders, man,” says Eddie Montgomery. The duo wasn’t sure if they could keep up when they went on tour with the Professional Championship Bullriders. “Them boys are crazy, getting on them two- and three-ton bulls and going out through the middle of it. I tell you what, just to see ‘em, man, don’t want no part of it . . . And I tell you what – I can’t drink enough Jim Beam to try to get on one.” The two rebels on the run will be back at the Opry Friday, April 6. Get your tickets here.

Until then, here they are performing their latest single, “Where I Come From”

Also, this week Josh Turner almost serenades the wrong girl when singing ‘Happy Birthday’. “One of the security guards had handed me a note when I walked in tonight with, like, five names of these girls,” says Josh. “And it said Happy Birthday at the beginning of the sentence. . . I just assumed that all five of these girls had a birthday tonight. . . I figured out, process of elimination, that it was just one of the girls’ birthdays, and the rest of them were just with her. . .They were having a good time at the Opry.” Josh also always has a good T.I.M.E. on the Opry.

Here he is performing with Randy Travis with their song “T.I.M.E.” during Randy Travis’ 25th Opry Anniversary.
