Let's not complicate things. It is obvious that our voting system is broken when we rank 139th out of 172 countries. The Tuesday after the first Monday is something outdated when the country was comprised of mostly farmers. We're in a different time where PDA's and tight schedules are what make up today's working class. It's a simple change and an obvious one, just move Election Day to Sunday. Anyday is a good day to vote but, you and I can agree that there are better days than other and the weekend is a hell of a lot better than a Tuesday.

I am from the old school as well. Standing in line for many concert tickets in the 70's & 80's was one of the best times in my life. At least you had a good chance of getting good tickets and now days a computer gives you what is available and you have to key in letters to see if they are still available after you are shown, if not you have to start all over again.

Brad: I think I can top the Nashville folks driving to Peoria. I joined Trace Adkins Fan Club in January. I told a friend I have got to meet Trace and it does not appear he's coming close to us in th State of Illinois. So, I decided to go on his website and click all the meet n greet there were open and I would go to which ever if I got picked..as my friend and I lauged, saying, why not, I'll never get picked anyway. Well guess WHAT...I got picked. When I got the email for the meet n greet I had no idea which one I got because I had checked so many of them. Finally, I figured out it was to Orlando Florida. Okay, with that said, his website did not show he had a concert there so I called a County Radio station in Orlando..found out it was at Seaworld..I had to get tickets and purchase air fare from Illinois (2 1/2 hrs south of Peoria, Il) and pay for a friend's expenses just to go to the Meet and Greet!!! That being bad enough 2 1/2 weeks later I saw where his Songs and Stories Tour was coming to yes, you guessed it..PEORIA, ILLINOIS..and yes, I purchased tickets and drove 2 1/2 hrs to see him again..Now I'd say that's a true country fan, wouldn't you agree??
