Gwen Sebastian

Guest Artist

Gwen Sebastian once said, “I have always known, no matter what I was doing in my life, that I would be doing music.” And she has proven herself right.

Her stint on NBC’s The Voice, under the coaching of Blake Shelton, propelled her career faster than she could have ever imagined. Shelton didn’t stop singing her praises, “She has the rare ability to combine power with passion in her singing abilities,” and went on to invite her on her first major tour.

However, touring isn’t a new thing to this North Dakota native. After completing her college degree, Sebastian made the decision to go all-in for music. That decision led her to her first record deal and her first single “Hard Rain” in 2009. Her EP V.I.P, released a year later, paved her path into the country music business. Tireless touring is what came next for Sebastian. “Continuing on the path of playing five shows a week was getting difficult," Sebastian admits. It was her choice to pursue music for a few more years that brought her to where she is today. "Having it all click doesn't have to happen when you're 17," she says. "And if it had, I wouldn't have been ready for it all. I realized that if I didn't try everything and really go for it, I might regret it. My time for this to happen is now and I'm embracing it. You don't have to stop dreaming."
