Love and Theft
Guest Artist
Love and Theft was formed in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2006. The band is comprised of Brian Bandas, Stephen Barker Liles, and Eric Gunderson. All of the members sing lead vocals and play guitar. The group came together through way of mutual friends in Nashville.
Love and Theft performed before ASCAP for performing rights which led to an audition and a signing with Carolwood Records, a sister label to Lyric Street Records. In 2008, Love and Theft signed as an opening act for Taylor Swift on her 2008 tour. On March 28, 2009 the group made its first Grand Ole Opry performance just before the release of its debut single "Runaway." The single peaked at No. 10 on the country charts in November 2009.
All three of the members came from a diverse background of music. Coming together as Love and Theft they were able to compile their distinct sound and connect with fans all over. "Nothing beats country songwriting," Stephen says, "We love what it represents and we want to carry it forward."
