Lady Antebellum

Guest Artist

In the summer of 2006, three gifted young adults walked into a house hoping to create music together.  They left that day as Lady Antebellum.

The sound that Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood cooked up while hanging out that summer at the Nashville-area home of Charles' brother is a unique blend of classic country, 1960's R&B soulfulness, and the heart-on-the-sleeve openness of 1970's singer/songwriters, all presented with a razor-sharp contemporary edge. It's a sound that had Lady Antebellum generating deafening buzz as one of modern country's brightest hopes even before the release of their self-titled debut album. Their first single, "Love Don't Live Here" soared into the Top 5 on the country charts.  "Lookin' for a Good Time," "I Run to You," and "I Run to You" kept the group on the country charts.

The trio's new career found industry recognition in the form of several esteemed awards.  Lady Antebellum won the Country Music Association's 2009 Single of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year honors.  In 2008, the Academy of Country Music named the group Top New Vocal Duet/Group while the Country Music Association bestowed its coveted Best New Artist Award upon them.  In January 2010, the group released its sophomore album Need You Now followed by their 2011 release, Own The Night.
